City of Monroe Storm Drain & Sewer Cleaning Project
Monroe, Louisiana
Under a six-year, $6 million project for the City of Monroe, Louisiana, Atakapa Services is cleaning and clearing the city’s underground drainage systems and sewers. GIS maps are being updated to identify critical infrastructure issues. As of April 2024, 11 miles of pipe have been cleaned, 27 truckloads of debris have been removed, and 444 catch basins have been cleaned and inspected. The ongoing efforts are providing relief in flood-prone areas of the city by restoring drainage hydraulic carrying capacity, updating drainage infrastructure GIS data and providing rehabilitation recommendations.

LSU Football Stadium Storm Drain Cleaning & CCTV Inspection
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Atakapa Services provided cleaning and CCTV inspection services to Waggoner Engineering for the LSU Field and Drainage Replacement Project. Atakapa was tasked with dye testing, cleaning, and inspecting the drainage infrastructure (15-inch, 36-inch, 54-inch and 72-inch storm sewer pipe) surrounding the football stadium. This project also included manhole cleaning, inspection and reporting, data management and reporting, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations. The 2017 project restored hydraulic carrying capacity for the drainage infrastructure.

North Moss Street Area Storm Sewer Cleaning & CCTV Inspection

Lake Charles, Louisiana 

Atakapa Services was retained to complete the storm sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection of the North Moss Street area in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project included cleaning and inspecting 7,621 linear feet of 18-inch, 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch, and 42-inch sewer pipes. Additional services for this project also included debris removal, manhole cleaning, inspection and reporting, data management, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations.

Lake Charles, Louisiana 
Atakapa Services was retained to complete the storm sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection of the See Street area in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project included cleaning and inspecting 2,850 linear feet of 12-inch, 15-inch, 18-inch, 24-inch, and 60-inch sewer pipes. Additional services for this project also included root removal, manhole cleaning, inspection and reporting, data management, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations.

Elm Street Area Storm Sewer Cleaning and CCTV Inspection

Lake Charles, Louisiana 

Atakapa Services was retained to complete the storm sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection of the Elm Street area in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project included cleaning and inspecting 1,162 linear feet of 18-inch sewer pipes. Additional services for this project also included inspection and reporting, data management, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations.

North Louisiana Avenue Cleaning & CCTV Inspection

Lake Charles, Louisiana 
Atakapa Services was retained to complete the storm sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection of the North Louisiana Avenue area in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project included cleaning and inspecting 5,500 linear feet of 18-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch storm drains. Additional services for this project also included manhole cleaning, inspection and reporting, root removal, data management, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations. 

 

WWTP ‘A’ Basin – Sub Basin A-3 CCTV Inspection

Lake Charles, Louisiana 

Atakapa Services was retained to complete the storm sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection of the WWTP ‘A’ Basin sub basin A-3 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project included closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of 35,649 linear feet of 6-inch,10-inch, 12-inch, 15-inch, and 18-inch sewer pipe. Additional services for this project also included smoke testing, root removal, manhole inspection and reporting, data management and reporting, GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations.

Madeline Street Cleaning & CCTV Inspection

Lake Charles, Louisiana 

Atakapa Services was a sub-consultant to Gulf Coast Underground for the cleaning and closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of Madeline Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This project consisted of the cleaning and CCTV inspection of 1,750 linear feet of 24-inch sewer pipe.

Belleview District Park CCTV Inspection

Iberville Parish, Louisiana

Iberville Parish retained Atakapa Services to provide closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of 1,432 linear feet of 36-inch, 48-inch and 72-inch pipe to determine the cause of ground failures along the top of the pipe. It was determined the pipe damage was causing the soil above it to wash out. This project also included GIS mapping and rehabilitation recommendations.

Vinton, LA Cleaning and CCTV Inspection

Vinton, Louisiana

Atakapa Services was retained to complete the sewer cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection for Meyer & Associates in Vinton, Louisiana. This project included cleaning and inspecting 10,950 linear feet of 8-inch and 15-inch sewer pipes and root removal.  

 

Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Phase I Sewer Transport Cleaning and CCTV

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana

Don M. Barron Contractor, Inc. retained Atakapa Services to clean and televise PVC sanitary sewer pipe (10-inch, 12-inch and 30-inch) in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

Union Pacific Railroad Storm Drain CCTV Inspection

Addis, Louisiana

Atakapa Services was retained to complete the closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of 520 linear feet of 48-inch storm sewer and 170 linear feet of 72-inch storm sewer pipe for the Union Pacific Railroad in the Town of Addis.
